Are all new Ibizas now on the extended service intervals (every two years or variable miles)?

If so the 1.2 TSI and 1.4 TSI need VW 504.00 oil. Is this correct?

I see Opie Oils have an offer on Fuchs TITAN GT1 LONGLIFE III 5W-30 which is to spec. 504.00.

Many thanks.

Hi jc_boc,

If that's true then surely the correct oil is VW 502.00 isn't it?

Waiting to pick up my new 105 TSI so don't have all the info. yet.

not too sure tbh mate. First service for me is only coming up in April which is a year as I have not reached 10K yet but I am pretty sure the 5w30 is right and I am sure techie has confirmed this on many occasions. if you do a search you should find it or I think it is in the FAQ section too. Will be looking it up again when I order all servicing parts.

My first service is due in April too, I guess your not getting it serviced at a Seat dealership then?

Just spoke to SEAT on the phone.

Apparently fixed interval and flexible (extended) interval servicing is now offered on Ibiza. Guy on phone says the most appropriate regime depends on miles driven and usage pattern.

My guess is that you'd only need 504.00 oil for flexible service interval and that 502.00 is OK for fixed interval. Probably no harm in using 504.00 though (apart from cost!).

Hi Markg_Boc,
Which service scheme are you on? Time/Distance (1 year/10000 miles) or Flexible (2 year/variable)?
It's the specification that matters more than the viscocity.
Assuming your car is petrol then for Time/Distance you need 502.00 oil. For Flexible you need 504.00.
All the 504.00 oil I've seen is 5w-30.

Ah... I see you have a Boc with twincharged 1.4. Wait 'till someone with that engine confirms. My manual does not cover that engine - only the 150 PS FR engine.
