Evening all, i have read on a few signatures people have aftermarket engine mounts and am curious, do they take long to put on, can it be done yourself and which ones are the best.???
Anyone have any opinions?

It can be done yourself, but you have to have the car jacked up safely and high enough to remove and refit the mounts, which are underneath and towards the back of the engine. Plus, you have to get the torque setting perfect or else you'll end up with bad vibration through the car.

If you're not 100% confident, let a garage do it.

Less engine movement, reduced wheel hop, stronger feel when flooring it off the line, more feedback :)

I would imagine any garage could fit them. Have a look on powerflex web site, it will tell you where you can get in your area or on forge web site and buy online. They seem to be about £16

My HPAs were about 90 quid fitted (just the bushes, you don't really need the arm changed as well)

You got so badly ripped off it's not funny!

The Powerflex bushes cost less than £20
The EIP full mount, including the metal section, is a shade over £100

Most decent garages will fit them for you for less than an hours labour, or free as part of another job. Mine, for instance, were fitted free when I had my 40k service done.

To pay £90 to have the bushes only fitted is madness.
