If you have got a new exhaust and suddenly your CEL (check engine light) comes on after a few hundred mile (mine was about
300) then try the following.

Big thanks to RikH for helping me out when i had my problem.

This Guide is for the Leon Cupra R

Go to this address.
http://www.rockauto.com/
Click "Search by Part Number"
Click "Part Number Search"
Search "42002" you will get

DORMAN Part # 42002 More Info {18mm Tapered Seat Universal (Pack of 2)}

Add one to your basket!

Then search "42009" you will get

DORMAN Part # 42009 More Info { 18mm Gasket Seat 2 Per Card Universal}

Add one to your basket!

Place this order ( converts to about £12)

I got mine in 3-4 days. Well impressed!

When you get them open them up. One is bigger then the other, you also get 2 washers but I didn’t use them.

You only need one from each packet. The smaller one screws in to the exhaust, the bigger one screws in to the smaller one
and then the lamba sensor screws in to the bigger one.

I made the hole in the bottom of the smaller one bigger by about 1mm - mainly because this is the biggest drill bit i had,
I wanted to make it bigger but it works like this so who cares :D

It took a few hundred mile (few weeks) for the light to go out. So don’t be disappointed when you start you car up and its still on :)

I hope this helps some people out!! If you get stuck PM me and ill be happy to help. Let me know if you guys think pics would be good. I think its quite straight forward so i haven't taken any. [B)]

On a less friendly note. :ban:
This is the second guide I have created. The first just got slated with "Search" - "Like this one". When infact there where different and mine was more up to date. Which left me thinking "Why do I bother spending all this time" So.... When i had this problem I could not find a guide on it. If you know of one on this site don’t start posting "Like this one" - "Why don’t you search" - cause I really don’t care. I could not find one so her is my one.

Everyone please note-the leon cupra is not the same as the cupra R.
These pieces or any other version will not a leon cupra as the secondary lamda sensor is located on the TOP of the exhuast (R is on the side), and thus you have little/no room to put any spacers in between the exhuast and underside of the car itself.

OR, you could get a Stage 2 map from a tuner that can disable the second lambda sensor AND make best use of your high flow cat...

Rick - £314 for the downpipe/sports cat for a Cupra. And yes, even i would put that towards a Map. My Phase 2 Custom Code is AWESOME :D:D:D:D:D:D

He He - My insurance is £830 all mods declared, me and the Boss (Wife) to drive, both under 25, garanteed value, and like for like replacement in case of an accident.

Kind Regards
