Hi All,
I'm not mechanically minded (But more than willing to learn!)
I thought I'd pop my query in here knowing some of you have serious experiance with 1.8T's
However this is probably pretty basic,

Now that its got colder (Below 5c) my car has occasionally made funny noises upon start up, The car obviously idles higher when you first start it (I'm told) to divert air to the CAT to warm it up quicker. Or some such malarky (let me know if thats true)

Anyway, During this time I get a weird engine "Flutter" thats made me wonder is it just because its cold and one of those quirks or "**** Is this bad?"
Basically the revs will drop during the initial idle just a little but and the exhaust note with flutter as will the gas that's coming out of it (If you hold your hand near the end of the exhaust)

I've got a video, but the quality s poo and it happens at 56-59 seconds, Any help would be appreciated.
The colder it is the more frequently it happens. As its about 7c a the moment it only tends to do it once

I found out what the problem is, I'll copy paste from another car forum.

At a guess mate i would say a pipe has split going to the secondary air pump. Follow the pipe from the breather filter you bodged on a few weeks ago checking for any splits in the pipe it will lead down to the pump and there will be another pipe off that going to the egr valve

Nice going to be removing the sai soon and blocking the egr so will look out for it then! I just hope its not causing too much damage right now!
