Hi guys,
Apart from the obvious 30, (more in most cases) bhp, what are the differences between the two engines to achieve this? Would it be possible / hard to upgrade the 140?? I know you can obviously have the 140 remapped, but you can have the fr remapped to more ;-) lol.
Cheers

Just get the remap if you want it faster but dont forget the warranty issue or buy an fr.

I've got 140 Sport & had it remapped. Now running 185Bhp as tested on rolling road.
Remap has made massive difference. Smother delivery & wider powerband.

I think the latest FR's will also be direct injection rather than Pump Duse (PD) engines in the Sport.

Yes the new face-lift FR and 140 versions will have the common-rail system instead of the PD system.
I'm running a FR 170, no remap with 191.7bhp. The FR will have a bigger turbo and enables much bigger outputs with the DPF taken out. DPF-delete FR's are looking at about 225-245bhp after stage 2 tuning. Thats my next stage of tuning for my car.
