Engine cut out wont start!!!!

basically i was driving down lanes when my car spluttered and had no power as if as coil pack was going, then no power, wont rev and just died! tried restarting it and its like its not turning over the engine, ie no compression, sounds normal for the first split second of turning the key then it turns over really fast but makes no attempt to start, so opened the bonnet and it smells abit like antifreeze ??? have checked all levels and there good also checked oil for foam and all is good all the temps are reading good aswell, also if i turn the ignition on and wai for all the lights to go off then try to start it the abs and tcs light come on???
is this normal?

That's wat I'm worried about, not happy cause had a full cambelt n service done bout 3 months agos and hav only coverd 8000 miles ish!

if it is your belt take it right back to the guy that fitted it

doesn't sound good mate. Have you checked oil levels? And get vagcom on it

Well rang them up and towing the car in 2nite and there goin to look at it 2moz won't ne happy if I got to pay

well just checked the car and the cambelts ok thankgod, but have checked and ive got no sparks atall on any coils? and both tcs and airbag light come on so ive heard that possibly it could be an ignition amplifier module????
any ideas as need the car asap!"

not sure could be wiring prob you will need to vagcom it or do you know someone with a code reader must be someone on the forum near you

Have sorted the problem in the end it was a bloody 15 amp fuse under the steerin wheel no 4 to be precise, had blown so I changed it then it blew again so put a 20 in there as I was running out of fuses, (was robbing them from windows and stuff lol) and the coilpack on cyclinder 4 caught fire! Not good, so unplugged it and getting another coil pack today, must have shorted inside when the coil blew, not good as this is the 5th gone in under 2 months, least its pretty cheap to fix thanks for all the help
