Elliott's MK3 Ibiza Cupra Update * carnage has begun*

Elliot did you prime you pillar trims before using the vinyl paint?

No mate, straight over the paint.

Hi Elliot,

You done a fantastic job on the car with the Ziano products. I find Z2 Pro works the best on red cars :)

I never bothered with Z2 because it's more designed for clear coat finishes. I am thinking about trying some concours wax on it. But you can't beat the beading and sheeting of this combo, drying the car now is effortless.

Could you tell me about/show me pictures of your brackets for your Wilwoods? I got a 256mm kit and trying to get the brackets to 280mm, bought a kit from rally design and it doesn't seem to include more spacers, just longer bolts..!

So yeah pictures would be great :)

And a free bump on a great looking car!

Hi mate, did you get sorted? As I seen you got some Wilwoods?

The brakes should be on this month, just waiting for my pads. No updates lately because I have tax tomorrow and MOT and then insurance at the end of the month, but I have been quoted £950 fully comp which isn't bad I don't think.

Thanks for the comments guys :)

I got it sorted yeah cheers. Rally design forgot to include the big spacers in the fitting kit.

What pads have you gone for? I went for the Mintex 1144s until Ferodo bring out some, hopefully should be in a few months.

Is that quote including mods or not?

Really fine car, with a lot of good details. The wilwood brake solution, what diameter is the disc, you are running ?

Regards, Tobi

Cars now off the road, MOT is up as was the insurance so thought I might aswell do it now.

Stripping it down to a bare shell for a proper colour change, wont be any black left on the car.

While I am there I will be polybushing everything, new suspension, top mounts etc. And I want to do a few little unique touches along the way.

Here's how it's looking at the minute, there's not much progress because I am in the middle of looking for a workshop, can't do all this in my garage.

Dropped the engine out on the subframe, couple of axle stands, 2 trolley jacks, 2 wheel dollys, job done.

I have been concentrating on labelling everything up, it's pretty self explanatory but makes life easier for me in a few months.

Green labels for keeping, pink labels are things that are going.

Started on the dash too.
