Electronic engine cut out

ive tried searching nothing seems to match.

Driving along and all of a sudden the dials drop off, accelerator has no effect yet i keep radio and electric windows, pull over turn key off and on starts fine off it goes... theres also a chance it reset the mile counter under the total mileage alough the trip computer hasnt reset so guess that may be coincidence.

Im thinking immobilisor?

the engine doesnt cut out or stall untill i stop.

check the terminals attached to the battery.... the could be loose my car used to do this ... one terminal was loose around the battery which caused it to move in fractions and loose current... which caused a cut out... but then fired back up as soon as it stopped... its a matter of a Milimetres so make sure both terminals are attached tightly...

Hmmm the positive does seem a bit loose but theres no way it cudav come right off and on again? also would this not reset the trip computer too?

hows your battery because when my alerternator was playing up thats what my car did!

sorry for the late reply... was giving my room a quick clean... erm the terminal doent hav to be that loose to lose current... it can lose current within a fraction so check them.. My trip computer used to reset!! but since got the terminal bit sorted it stopped...

the only other one is your battery is on its way out... check the battery charge... i replaced my battery and i never had a problem like that again...

when testin the battery make sure its gettin enough volts through...

if it is the battery...pop down to euro car parts... and pick one up for 32 quid!!
