electric windows

id like to say HI to everyone as this is my 1st post. the reason for joining up is that my g/fs 1.2 ibiza has developed a window fault. basically the passenger electric window has decided to play up and this resulted in the window slipping down into the door card.

thankfully the glass did not smash but where can i get a replacement motor? it looks like the whole inner sheet of steel is attached to the motor so looks like ill need to purchase the whole schbang!

any advice on this? seems to be a common problem as within a week of her getting the car 2 years ago, the same thing happened to the drivers side but was replaced via warranty.

i doubt its the motor bud, it will be your window regulator, i had to replace my driver side one when i got the car

yea it not the how thing u have to buy u have to get a new regulator and it is screwed or bolted to the sheet of stell u talked about which is bolted to you door it self so u need to remove the the steel **** and on the other side the old motor will be usually with 3 t30 torgue screws holding it in then i think the lifting mechanism it self is just a few bolt to holding that on has been some time since i last took one of the apart
