Theres 3 screws behind the door handle/electric mirror controller switch, unscrew them and then the rest is just clipped to the door by small plastic yellow clips...they're a pain!!

I disconnected all the switces behind when i did mine (i.e. central locking/electric mirrors etc), they just simply unclip and pull apart, makes it easier to completely take the door trim off.

I had a faulty drivers window, would only go up/down when it felt like it, so i had a mess with the wiring behindthe door card and it all works fine now!! :)

Hope this helps.

Did this yesterday, right pain. Dont remove the speaker grill like i did. THey break really easily and you cant get them from SEAT unless you buy the whole door card.

Also i found if when you unclip it any of the gold clips are still in the door its easier to remove them and put them back into the slots on the back of the door card as this makes it easier to bang back into the door when your done.

Thanks for everyone advice, I thought it must be clipped on, I just didn't have the confidence to pull it off in case I broke it!

Thanks everyone

Hi

Back again, I have partially removed the door panel, although it is still attached to the plastic trim/handle [near to the stick used to control the mirrors] - how do I completely remove the door panel?

Thanks

As far as i remember, the plastic trim surrounding the chrome handle (and mirror joy stick controller) just pulls off with the aid of a flat head screw driver underneath it.

There should be 3 screws behind there, whch secure it to the door.

Not sure if this helps?

Hi

Just to confirm, the plastic trim surrounding the chrome handle remains on the door and the panel should unclip from this?

Thanks

No, as far as i remember, the plastic trim around the electric mirror controller completely comes off (i think the handle is part of this trim peice too). Its just clipped on, use a flat head screw driver to lever it off.

There's 3 screws behind there securing the door trim on.

Then its just a case of working your away around the very outer edges of the door uncliping the annoying little yellow plastic pin type things.
There not so easy to unclip so expect to get a little frustrarted with it!!

Sime clips will prob stay in the door, but once you remove the door trim completely you'll be able to get them all out.

Hi

I have removed the plastic trim and the panel but it is still not free of the door, there are cables running to the door lock and mirror -do these need to be disconnected?

Thanks
