Electric Windows Problem

My ibiza mk3 tdi sport, had fully functional electric windows until last night. Had drivers side window down, unfortunately as it was snowin some managed to settle in the alcove around electric window switch. Drivers side electric window still works fine, but passenger side only works sometimes (using drivers side controls) but not at all with passenger side window switch. Can anyone offer any help on what might have been damaged? Or even any help on getting the door cards off?! Cheers ross

i had this problem after snow got in the car, then rain water. I sprayed a bit of WD40 into both switches and fiddled with the switches for a while. Once the wd40 was in about hte switch it sorted it out and they worked again.

If you have the "panic" button for central locking next to the window switches then you might find your central locking start to lock its seld when ur in the car (at least i found this happening) again i put some WD40 into the central locking swtich and it sorted it out. So you might be as well spraying the wd40 into the lock button just to make sure it doesnt happen.

So did you remove any of the surrounding plastics, or jus spray through the small gap made when lifting the window switch up mate? Will go try this trick now.
