Hello:
The electric window regulators of my car are all dead. Can anyone help me to find the problem, please? The car is a seat Toledo 1.6 SXE, year 1996, Engine 1F; Gasoline
Thanks in advance for any response.

The problem description is hereafter:
what happened:
Some days ago i stopped the car in my garden with the front passenger window fully open, the doors were unlocked and the car alarm was switched off. It rained all day and some water get inside the car and also inside the door's cover. When I notice the opened window I tried to close it, but all windows do not react. The doors central locking also stopped working.
What i have done so far:
I removed the door' cover, removed the window regulator motor and then closed the window by hand, stuck it with a wire-wrap. I checked all fuses and replaced 2 opened fuses: the doors central locking are now working correctly. The other opened fuse was a car alarm fuse. The alarm is also working, but it not closes the windows when activating the alarm.
Questions:
1) Does anyone knows if there is a relay for the window regulators (I checked at this site post 201815, and my fuse board is similar with the 97-3000, but my fuse board does not have the first relay row: relays 19 to 24).
2)Is there a control box for the widow regulators (perhaps the comfort control unit). Where it is located?
3)Any other suggestion are welcome.

Yes there is a relay, its under the back seat base, was pretty common to pack up and has caught me out a few times on the older ones.

Hello:

Thank you for the replay. I almost solved the problem.
1- The window regulator control box is indeed located under the back seat base. It has six relays. I checked it and the control box is working correctly.

2- The problem was very simple: An open fuse (20 Amp), located in a hidden place, near the fuse board. That fuse is very difficult to locate, due to its position: near the fuse board, above a buzzer, near the buzzer connections. After replacing the fuse the windows start to work properly (I can hear all the realys working).

3- The passenger window is not working. I removed the window motor and it is working properly. However, the voltage at the power connector is floating from about - 6V; 0V and +8V, depending on the window switching button. So, I think the power cable is somewhere broken. I need some more time to locate the open circuit.

Thank you. Best Regards.
