Just picked up my cupra on wednesday and have discovered a problem with my electric windows... they dont wind all the way down!

I've searched for solutions and tried everything i can find and nothing has worked :( does anyone have any idea what i can do to fix it?

The most recent thing i tried was to wind window up on auto and stop it getting to top by putting my arm in the way. This makes the window roll back down on its own. Once it reached its stopping point, i tried to wind window down further and it does go down a little further but then stops sounding like something is blocking it?? THe motor sounds like its trying to go down but cant go any further, yet when it goes down on the one touch, it stops with about an inch left to go  Then the auto doesnt work until i get window back to top again.

Can anyone shed any light on this or will i have to take it back to the dealer? Its pretty annoying, particularly in multi storey car parks tryin to reach for ticket!

Just a thought, you haven't fitted any new door speakers recently have you? That causes the window to jam how you're describing.

when you get behing the door card to change the speakers or whatever your doing have a look and make surenothing is obstructing the runnerers and the window but if not then on the inner pannel behind the door card the regulator is rivvited to this ive got a feeling that the regulator motor has been removed at some point and has been incorrectly replaced

hmmm, well ive changed my speakers now and seen nothing that could be in the way, at least on the front part of the window.. i cant get to the back without removing the inner skin part but im not sure how to go about that. The motor doesnt look like its been moved from the outside and it looks exaclty the same as my last ibiza so maybe a trip to dealer? Never noticed on test drive as it was pissin with rain!

It really is a pain in the ass having everything riveted, makes it impossible to take tihngs apart then re-assemble them!

On the plus side my speakers sound good lol
