Hey all,
The passenger side window on our 98 Arosa has always been poor - made crunching noises and you could hear the motor turning for a few seconds before it engaged and the window moved.
We have stopped using it as I feared it failing when open.. until today, when my wife wound it down a little (10mm). And... it now won't go back up. If you press to lower it, it'll go down to about 2/3 up, then stop. At this point, it is possible to grab it and pull the glass up, but once released it drops down. If you grab the glass to hold it up, then press the 'up' button... the glass is pulled down until it engages, then goes up to about an inch open and stops.
I removed the door card for a look - but it is just a metal sheet behind with a few holes - how on earth do I get access to the motor and mechanism etc?
Many thanks for any help you can offer.
Cheers,
Stu
