'DMH Electric Cutouts are designed to better your cars performance and feel. The cutout works by welding into your stock or modified exhaust. They can be placed anywhere after the headers. To open the cutout you press a switch, which opens cutout, releasing your exhaust. This enables you to bypass your muffler, increasing horsepower and giving your car an extremely throaty rumble.'

this is a altrenative to those like me that have a stock exhaust system. I'm want to know what negative efect could have on my disesel(like this cutout will lower the "reverse-pressure" on the exhaust).
have anyone mounted on there diesel exhaust this kind of system?(or on petrol ones?

seen them before but i was under the impression that they went into the pipe in line with the exhaust then could be opened or closed depending on volume and performance requirements

would be ridiculously loud like that

i think that you gain more power withe this cutouts, rather with a sport exhaust..

for me the cons of the really loud exhaust would far outweigh the pro's of a couple of bhp, would rather spend the cash elsewhere tbh

i think i've seen this on Martin Hadlands Reyland escort cosworth as well as dahlbacks 900+ bhp mk iv golf. Yes the noise is very loud but i guess you would only gain some real performance on a massively tuned engine. Look on youtube and search for dahlback golf or find dahlbacks website for some good videos.

you can also get a version that runs on vac pressure.. when you are at full boost it opens to give maximum performance, but under gentle driving stays closed for some stealth action.. :)
