ECU Swap

Im thinking about swapping my ecu for a 180bhp cupra r ecu, how straight forward is this and would I need any mods apart from vagcom to adjust it to my cupra? I'd probably look at revo'ing it too, would this increase the bhp than what I could get from a standard ecu? if its not worth it i'll just stick with my ecu and revo it.
Mods are K&N filter, cat back exhaust (unsure of make) soon getting forge dv

Any opinions welcome
:)

Your car will be fine to swap an R ECU with

but if you're getting it remapped it'll make no difference at all.

It may be a bit late fella but.....
If youre interested, ive got a cupra R with a superchipped ecu fitted...
But, as ive now got motec M4 fitted the chip, therefore is not used.
BUT,as Some auxilliary ccts. are still routed through the seat ecu,
Ill still need the seat system.....
YOU CAN TRY IT IF YOU WANT, IM ASKING £150 (well below half price).
Where do you live??

Im in Milton Keynes mate, and a quick google of 01443 says you're in Wales? But thanks for the offer.
I was looking at a standard cupra 'R' ECU on ebay, the reason I was asking was on the off chance it would increase BHP over the standard ECU once remapped, but it doesnt.
Also, Im more tempted to go revo on my standard ECU than superchips as was still going to revo the 'R' ECU anyway, which now seems pointless for no extra bhp
