already have an altea-xl and looking into replacing our other car with a leon ecomotive in white, is there anything i need to look out for? i know they are basic compared to other models but its the economy and the road tax that warrants the purchse. also where would you recommend buying from in the north east past experience tells me not to buy in darlington but im willing to travel say around 50 miles or so.

thanks

Hi,
Got a silver Ecomotive in Marhc as a company car. Added a few options to the basic spec, (alloys, bluetooth, cruise, met paint). Very happy so far. Car drives great - I have done 5000 miles with no problems.

Can't match the claimed fuel economy though. I'm averaging 52 mpg, and once seen over 60mpg, but that was on a pretty slow drive with the cruise control set at 60.

thanks,
one of the main reasons for buying was for the economy figures, im currently getting around 50mpg from my altea xl.

the idea was to get an economical no frills car with cheap road tax and to just run it for 3 years and change it. it was a choice between the ibiza and leon and the leon fits the bill better.

Top Gear (The Magazine) Drove one back from The SEAT Factory in Spain, they managed 76.8mpg or more impressively 930 miles on a single tank. If I remember they cruised at 50mph

To be fair they cheated, taping up the bonnet and doors to help aero

Just an idea of what it can do...
