ebc brake discs/pads

i've just ordered some from my local ebc dealer they phoned up to check they were all the right ones but i'm not holding my breath has anyone got any discs to fit at CUPRA R in the past the prices are all different to the normal cupra so fingers crossed i'll find out tomorrow.

What pads have you gone with? Redstuff at front and greenstuff at the rears?
Keep us updated how you get on, I'm thinking of just getting the pads at the mo...

red stuff on front but backs r still new so ain't gonna bother yet

i've got redstuff's on my LCR they are good but a bit noisey...... but i don't know if that is because i've got drilled discs.

Think that's your drilled discs Karl, got redstuff on mine and they're not noisy at all.

Get some pics up when you get them. I was waiting for EBC to bring out the LCR disks but got feed up waiting. Be intrested to see how they compare to stock disks

i know a lot of mondeo drivers that have had problems with EBC discs warping, so god knows what they would be like stopping a LC/LCR!

Thats what my supplier said to me, as the launch date was delayed by 3 months he thought they may have been trying to get around this problem as they were testing them at the time

My 1.4 ibiza with 239mm vented ebc disc warped The discs arnt cheap either. Power discs all the way!

Maybe because i was fading/boiling the brake/fluid 6 or 7 times a day

NO and neither do EBC,

I'm just saying in general that ATE are better than EBC.

My mate's got standard Brembo discs and EBC green stuff pads on his Focus and he warped some discs.

The scary thing is, the LC 312mm discs fit the LCR and i wonder how many people are running around with 312mm discs as opposed to 323 as 99.9% of companies quote the LCR as having the 312mm disc.

Just beware and get out the measuring tape when the arrive

What thickness are the LC disks though?

28mm vs. 25mm (cupra/TT...etc) I think

I think it'd be pretty obvious they weren't the right ones if you were trying to fit 312mm discs

Well obviously its not as there have been a couple of people on here that have had 312 discs fitted.

I dont think the average grease monkey is going to be able to spot a 3mm difference nor is he going to know the actual size of the disks for comparisons.

LCR Pads don't have a huge amount of 'meat' on them anyway so filling an extra 3mm is quite a large amount.

As M1tchy says I wonder how many people are running about with LC disks....scary
