My Cordy was a Cat-B write off with Less damage than that!!

I reckon he's only had TFT insurance on it, and rolled it on a country lane, so hence hasn't claimed off the insurance, and why it isn't written off....

Not a hope in hells chance of repairing it though, as you would need an entire new 'shell' to do it.......

This car needs to be re-shelled but yet the guy has the audacity to say that "I don't think it would need to go on a body jig as the panel gaps look ok and the wheels appear to be in the right place"

Cant believe he wants that! A friend of mine had same spec Ibiza - he went into the back of someone and the front left chassis leg took all the impact moving back a good 6inches. We had look at car and priced up how much it would be for new bumper, bonnet wing etc and other parts and the effort of jiggin it out. Wasnt worth it as would cost way to much. So we thought of trying to sell bits off it - as i said nothing was wanted apart from the tailgate - interior was mint but most peeps want the cupra sport trim etc.... Ended up punting it to someone for £100 (just to get rid of it) who wanted the engine to replace his kanckered one

Think you guys are missing summat 'ere.

He's actually selling a V5 and the VIN plate. All the prospective 'repairer' has to do is 'obtain' a 'donor' car and swap the VIN plates etc.
Usually the donor car will cost virtually nothing...ahem.
Known as ringing a car.

Thats why the reserve is so high IMO.

Cos there's no way that heap can be economically repairable.

Easy to ring an Ibiza too allegedly, cut out raintray and reweld. Then rivet on vin plate. Done. Car should be listed for parts only. Well, Bootlid and Gearbox anyway.
