Hi,

Where is a safe earthing point on my engine bay so I can jump start it?
The instructions with the leads advise NOT to use the battery negative point.

because you creating a very close earth. can get hot damage the battery, and liable to spark. Apparently. i never seen it happen.

The only reason i dont do it, is if one of teh crock clips pings off, which they do, and touches they other one. Your in a whole heap of ****

Engine block or chassis, as above supposed to prevent damage to electrical items i e the ECU.

Also connect the live red + first then the black - negative.

As above engine block (lifting eye). This is the easiest/quickest way to jump a car as it charges the system rather than the battery 1st then the system.
