Hi

I am going to give my Ibiza a tip top wash, polish, wax but would like some advise, so here goes;

This is what i am setting out to do, but can you advise if possible, thanks;

Pre water rinse

Either Autoglym Shampoo or Meguires Gold class (I have the autogylm, Megs if people this its so much better?)

Dry with 2 poorboys blue waffle weave towels

Now the next I am unsure at, when do you clay? do I need to clay?

I would usually use Autoglym Super resin polish next, but I am considering claying, I have no swirls on the car, always used 2 bucket washing method, so I am unsure if i need to?
What do you use the clay for?

Next would be autoglym ultra deep shine

Then Poorboys blue nattys paste wax, or is the velvet/banana or blue dodo juice wax better?

Finally back to black the plastics, autoglym wheel wax

Finished

What I am unsure of is the claying, under what circumstances is it usually used? My car has done 20k miles, always washed, waxed every few months, paint still shines nicely after a wash, so im just unsure if claying is worth it?
I have been looking at the megs clay kit.

Thank You

Even new cars can need claying, so forget that you wash it regularly, low miles etc and go by how the paint feels.

After you have washed it feel the paint, get an ordinary plastic sandwich bag or some cling film and put your hand in it, now wipe your hand over the paintwork. Does it feel perfectly smooth or can you feel all sorts of rough patchs and little bits? If it's not smooth you need to clay.

To be honest, I would clay anyway if it's never been done, the amount of cr@p that the clay bar will pull off even on paint that looks good is amazing.

Hi, thanks for the reply

I have the Natty blue paste wax, still have about half a tub left.

I know you sell the dodo Juice velvet, which I am tempted to buy, but personally I would prefer to use up all my Nattys paste wax first.

In your opinion (I know probs abit biased! :) ) is the nattys wax a fairly decent wax?

Thank you :)

Yeah, nothing wrong with Natty's blue, I'm sure I'm not alone when I say it was one of the first waxes I ever bought, it's just seems to have gone a little out of favour these days. If you like it, stick with it and use it up.
