As has been mentioned in the above thread, Simon at E-Maps seems happy (so far) to agree to a group buy on an E-Maps Leon remap. However, the appropriate process needs to be followed to the satisfaction of the SCN admins. Simon has contacted m0rk, but initial communication seems to have stopped there. As I understand matters, Simon was waiting for a reply from m0rk on how to move things forward.
There appears to be a handful of people that have shown interest in going for this group buy if it were to be arranged. My personal interest in it is: that I want a remap; I live close to where E-Maps trade from; have heard good thing about them; and prefer their prices. I have remained in contact with Simon over the past few weeks about this, but as I say above, the process to allow this to take place seems to have broken down.
I totally understand, and indeed agree with, the need for retailers to follow the SCN 'rules' on such activities. It may well be that when it comes down it, E-Maps decide not to agree to such 'rules' (that's me just thinking out loud), but obviously I cannot answer for E-Maps.
It would be really great if E-Maps could be introduced to the SCN fold as it were, as it adds another option for people thinking of getting a remap done. Could SCN admin advise on their preferred next steps please?
