Model Year 20/21 E-Hybrid charging issues

We have recently moved to a new build with an EV charger already installed on the house (evec is the brand).

However, the charger doesn’t work on our car and both evec & the electricians can’t find a fault.

When the charger is plugged in and we enable the charge on our app, the status changes from ‘waiting’ to ‘paused’.

Evec have said it’s as if the car is telling it to pause and to check the settings on the car. I can’t find anything on the car to suggest it is, and it charges fine at public charging points.

Anyone have any insight? Is it possible for the charger and car to not be compatible with each other? Or does it just sound like a dodgy charger that needs replacing?

what rate is it charging at and what amperage ?

have you tried a different car on this charger to confirm that it is the charger that is at fault?

I just had a look on the old google and it does come back as a good unit but it does have problems of a blue light circling and this points
back to the installer not installing it properly, so I would try a few cars with this charger to confirm this, no one like Rework on their work but if it aint working get it look at with a new installer.

It’s a 7.4kw charger and from the looks of the settings in the app it’s set to 32 amps currently (I think).

We haven’t tried another car yet as we don’t know anyone else with an EV but thinking to ask one of the new neighbours.

I have also seen the forums on Google of other people having the same problem with it just flashing blue and not doing anything, which is what made me think maybe it’s not the car like they are saying?

The defect team with the housing developers have said the next step would be to fit a replacement, so will try to get someone else to test it on their car first!

I really doubt that it's the car's fault - as long as you mentioned it charges without problem on other chargers.
Just curios: did you try both charging settings of the car (reduced/maximum)? It happened to me once at some hotel that the charger was going in some sort of protection mode while I was trying to charge at 3,5 kW, but it was working fine with the reduced charging set on the car...
