Hi Guys,

I picked up my Dynamic Grey Ibiza Cupra at the weekend, i'm thoroughly enjoying it so far!
Spec is as follows:

Dynamic Grey Cupra
Front + Rear Parking Sensors
Red Brake Calipers
Front Rhino Splitter + Gloss Lower Lip
Storage Pack (but with no boot net, dealer chasing seat up with this, suspecting cant have it due to raised boot floor - only wanted arm rest anyway)

Considering i purchased this car blind without a test drive, i'm blown away so far, coming from a 120d - the engine note + DSG gearbox makes for an addictive sounding drive! Hands down the better choice over a Fiesta ST.

Colour changes from White to the Grey/Blue as the sun goes in.

Swapped over to Winter Alloy/Tyres on the Sunday, so still running everything in - heres some pics! (Sorry for poor quality phone pics, will get some more! Summer/Winter/Ibiza+Leon)

Two Quick Questions:

The Automatic Lock over 15mph (anti-jack) doesnt seem to work! I've followed the instructions (which are wrong) but realised I need to hold the lock button on centre console down for a few seconds to make it flash (with the ignition ON but engine not started). This supposedly turns the system on, but when i finish the drive the doors don't unlock until i open one (im fine with this, but i thought they unlocked on removing the key?), then when i get back in and drive away on the next journey nothing locks and the centre console light doesnt come on either (so i have to do this each time). Its as if it forgets! Is this normal, am i doing something wrong?

Secondly, Does anyone with VAGCOM experience know whether the window down/up from holding the key fob can be disabled? Hate this feature since I came back to a wet interior on an older golf after the fob activating in my pocket, since then ive always turned it off through the computer, but the ibiza unsurprisingly doesnt have this option. I was going to get it booked into the dealer to have this changed, but they are unsure whether it can be done, so I dont want a wasted trip + ££.

Thanks!

Dear God!
That color is awesome, I always thought it was bad exposure of a white car when I saw photos of one similar (we don't have anything reomtely close to that in Mexico), but the description of the color flip makes me want to see one in the flesh so badly.

Congrats on the new car.

Now for your questions, the auto-lock can be enabled/disabled with VCDS, also the auto-unlock once you remove the key from the igniton.
The windows control from the keyfob can also be disabled from VCDS, look for them under the long coding helper on the Central electric convenience module.

Driving some where!

I found that I had to do the procedure a couple also times whilst stationary for it to realise what I wanted the feature to do. I thought that the button on mine was broken at first, but was so pleased when it did work in the end :)

Nice car mate, how did you fit the Rhino lip?

Thanks Guys! Steve, I had this fitted by my dealer, they did the gloss lip too. They seem to have screwed it to the underside with self tapping plastic screws - theyve done a superb job!

Thanks for the advise on VCDS too. Ive spoken to my service department about getting the car in, the guy has kindly waived fee's for doing this since its a new car - great service as usual from these guys!

Im going to ask for the convenience window thing to be removed, and the anti-jack lock thing to be put in place.

Does anyone know the exact thing to ask for to get these changes made (i recall seeing somewhere that the anti-jack option for auto lock/unlock is down as multiple options on the computer)?

Also, whilst i'm on, are there any other worthwhile changes you guys can thing of that i might not be aware of?

Thanks,
Ben

Saw the pics on the Team Boc Facebook page, stunning colour! Are those the AP Racing optional brakes?! I was told they had discontinued them when they ordered mine!

Also, was the fitting of the splitter exclusive to your Seat dealer? Or could I ask my local dealer to source + fit one for me to mine?

Well I added needle staging, rear wiper automation (I dont want to scratch the rear window) when put in reverse and got rid lf the auto lock. And they should know what to look for. As it depends do they use the official Vag tool or VCDS.

Cheers mate, they are the standard brakes but i asked my dealer to get them painted red. All done with the propper brake paint, not dipped tho - just painted (not sprayed) on the car. Have done a real good job tho, I did this myself on a prev car but couldnt b arsed this time. I also wanted AP racing brakes and also the leather interior. Although im happy with the standard interior, its nice and plush - leather was discontinued due to 'quality issues'. Brakes were discontinued after a stupid customer complained that they were fasleley advertised, after taking his car to the track and using it constantly then claiming they don't live upto his expectations - ffs, what sort of a society do we live in now?

Splitter i presume ur dealer could do, My dealer just buys in the rhino splitter and fits themselves, then masks off and sprays the black bottom lip too (not vinyl). Just google Rhino Splitter, its a nice flexible one for ramps, snow etc.. super hard wearing.

Paid £100 for the brakes, and £150 for splitter and lip fitted, was happy enough with those prices, although i think they usually charge more for the splitter - so did me a deal as i was buying the car.
