DV30 chatter after fitting boost guage, low boost too

Hi all,

This weekend I fitted a Auto Guage boost guage on my cupra, gauge seems to work fine, but since fitting it the DV has started to chatter on dumping boost, also its only making about 12psi, I know the car has been custom mapped by Jabba, so it should be making more than that, performance doesn't seem to be down either...

Could a faulty maf be the cause? I think ours is on the way out...

Any help would be much appreciated.

check the t-peice at top of dv, that'd be my first guess if it only started chattering once the boost gauge was installed, check for kinks also etc ....

yep, happened to me, check all the piping from your boost gauge right the way to where it's plumbed into the engine, check it for splits or holes, and check the t-piece as david says.

will do guys, cheers for the advice, i'll have to live with it this week as i can't get it into work in the evening as we have the outlaws staying for the week, will have a look at the weekend and let you know the results...
