Duty cycle good or bad

Hi people, i have a question.
Is the Duty cycle of this log a little strange or not, it goes from begin til end at 77%.
Also my car does surging at +/- 3500rpm

The log-file is from my tuned ibiza fr.
Code:

Who is it tuned by?

I'm guessing, but I'd say someone has been fiddling with your wastegate actuator?

Dmtuning in belgium tuned my car, and i'm sure that they were not fiddling with the wastegate actuator.

I wasn't saying that they had, just wondering who'd tuned it - I was going to suggest that you spoke to them to find out what duty cycle they'd expect to see after they'd mapped a car.

If you've had the car from new (and so are sure that the actuator's not been adjusted), I would guess that it's the N75 or pipes connecting to it, although when they've gone on mine they sit at 100% rather than 77%

The duty cycle should sit at around 95-97%, AFAIK.

Basically if you put it in whatever is the recommended gear for logging in your motor and hoof it, it'll go to 100% while the boost builds (actual boost rises to meet requested) then it'll settle to 95% odd as the actual boost meets requested boost. I understand that most tuners map to this 95% odd rather than 100% all the time as a safety/reliability measure.

Jonit's logs should a large difference where actual > requested, by some 300mbar. I'm not used to seeing it like that, which made me wonder if the actuator had been fiddled with. Although the LCR has a 2.55 bar maximum, so the max I ever see is 2.55 bar actual and requested.

All my experience is on my car/logs, but from how it's been explained to me [several times by several people :D] ) it should be the same on other cars.

cheers for that could you have a look at peters jabba logs as his duty id 77 percent low down then goes to 95 odd i belive after the original spike while building the boost up

second lot of logs

Yes that duty cycle is very different with mine, looks if my N75 is not working good anymore.
But I also get an answer from a revo dealer in my country, who also did take a look at my vag-com file, and he thought that my duty cycle of the N75 looks not strange.
But he thought that the surging problem did come with the peak boost at 3400rpm, so it only needs a little fine tune there and it should be oké from his opinion.

i will try and get some logs of my car with the duty cycle as im also remapped by revo and see how mines behaving

Always helps me to graph to different cars to look at things like requested, actual, MAF and N75 - looking at the numbers doesn't often show the true difference

Oh i almost forget the log-file from my ibiza, i had only measured it in 3th gear.
Does that make a difference, why the duty cycle is 77% all the way or not ?

My surging problem is gone now, i went back to my tuner and told him my problem.
He made a little mistake in the software for my car, he updated my program and the ibiza runs very good now.
Now there is no more surging or stuttering, so now i'm very happy :D
