I thought it was just dirt on the lights, but after cleaning them its obvious there is quite a bit of dust stuck to the inside of the lens. Only noticeable when the lights are on and its dark.

Is there a common place which the seal between lens and body goes, or? I can't believe its come from not having the bulbs in (not that I know they've not been in).

I have the same problem with my headlight. Its dusty from the inside of the headlight! Iv checked it and it looks impossible to take the plastic lens apart from the the headlight, I guess the way round it is to purchase a new headlight:shrug:

I may whip one off and see if it'll wash out. Dust should get stuck in the water OK.

The only problem may be the seals getting ruined by being wet on the inside, if they are foam rather than bonded rubber.

Least its not just mine!

The dealers took a photo of mine today to send off to SEAT, it looks 100X's worse with HIDS!

Tell me about it.

I was considering taking a bulb out and sticking an air blaster in to see if I could remove some that way, I get loads of the cans through work so it might be worth a go.

Good shout, maybe the condensation doesen't help matters.

My lamps are funny like that, I get no condensation near enough all the time but then randomly it'll come and stick for four days then go away again!

took my headlights apart on my fiesta everyone on the forum i was on did this mod to get rid of the big orange plastic indicator lens, then put silvertec bulbs in. Didn't use an oven though, headrier to heat up the sealent that held them together was so easy.
