Dump valve

Hi,
I have just bought a 2003 Seat Leon Cupra R, it is the the 210bhp model but the trader I bought it off said it has been chipped to 260bhp.

My question is what sort of dump valve is ok to use on the Cupra R ? I have heard all sorts of rumours that you cant use a dump valve on these engines and definately cant if they have been chipped.

I'd also be grateful if anybody could recommend a reasonably priced Induction Kit to fit and where to buy it from.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Welcome

Nice choice of first post

Have a quick search as this has been covered a couple of times already in the past but here are the bullet points :

- Your car already has a recirculating diverter valve (i.e. not a whooshy one).

- You don't want to fit a whooshy valve if you want the car to work properly afterwards.

- Good news is that an induction kit will give you nice whooshy, sucky noises.

- Dynatwist, BMC CDA and RamAir MaxFlow are the kits of choice and there's plenty of info and opinion on here from owners of them all.

- Have you found the button at the bottom of the driver's side B-pillar yet?

Thanks for the info MarkE,
I read a few threads and have just bought a Forge recirc dump valve Fm 007P from ebay. Will this work ok ?
I am just on with looking for an induction kit, I shall check out the induction kits you recommended, thanks for that.

Cheers

was the valve a cheap copy or a proper 80 quid (ish) one with guarantee?
ramair isnt bad (got one myself) and is way less pricewise over the green etc.
the button disarms the interior sensors should you want to lock the car with kids or animals inside.

turns off the sensor for the alarm,so you can leave a dog inside the car without setting off the alarm
