hi mate
leons struggle to run atmospheric which are the noisy variety
your best bet is the forge 007p diverter valve which when coupled with a panel filter or induction system will give you a small noise

best places to find these are in the for sale sections
or from forge direct
many other shops also stock the item

do a search and you will learn loads about the things for the leon

Go for a Forge 007p man, my old bosch unit was rubbish, was leaking boost all over the shop, id recommend uprating the dv to anyone with one of these motor.

agreed.

you want a diverter valve. same as a dump valve but doesnt dump the air to atmosphere. it recirculates the air.

this is due to vag engines running a mass air flow meter. the ecu expects this air to be recirculated, if it dumps to atmosphere you will run rich.

for more sound get an induction kit.

I hear good things about the Forge valve.

The valve I have is a GReddy RS dump valve with a recirculating pipe. It's excellent - with my induction kit it sounds like a dump valve, response is very good, and its easily adjustable with no need tio remove from vehicle. The forge valves need dissasembly to replace the springs.

see EIP Tuning for details

Hiya, do you have any pictures of the Greddy unit installed? Your installes as the picture shows, on the left of the engine bay? Much effort to get relocate there, seems a little futile, as still going to be hot air. Worth relocating to cold air at front of engine bay maybe??

the forge doesnt need to be removed to replace the springs. you simply have to pull off the small vacuum pipe on the top then unscrew to top.

this pipe doesnt even need a circlip on it so no tools required either.

the dv in the pipe above is in a location ive not seen before !?
