It says in the manual too black out part of the headlamp beam instead of the normal method of bending it...apparently not available on the leon...is this right? anyone experienced this, I will be doing a lot of my driving at night and really don't want to loose any vision!

ye - it blocks off the bit that aims the other side of the road and stops ya dazzling someone

you could adjust the beam correctly anyway - but explaining thats its been done it to a french cop is not much fun - trust me

you can move an adjuster on the back :)

just not a 1 clock easy solution - needs adjusting as you would normally but the opposite way :)

It is correct, but don't use electrical tape on your headlights, as the glue attacked the polycarbonate.

The right answer is to invest in a pair of headlamp protectors (about £35 from Seat, less on ebay), and stick the tape on the protectors. Then you can fit the protectors at the port, and remove then when you get back.

Simon.

why not just get some "beam benders" they are avaialable from most car accesory shops only cost a couple of quid and they just stick on ya headlight glass and peel off again when done . easy
