Driveshaft???

Hello,

Could someone confirm what I think is a driveshaft on the way out?

The first symptoms on my 2001 LC was a whirring noise coming from the front N/S on fast bends (80-90), I put this down to a wheel bearing. But just recently I get a slight knocking noise that’s noticeable on slow left turns (<10 MPH).

Does this sound like a driveshaft??? Are there any checks I could do??? And if it is a driveshaft a rough guess on the price.

It's probably your CV joint, but could be a ball joint or a wheel bearing.

as above knocking on slow turns usually means cv joint
whirring at speed usually means bearings

cheers ppl, much appreciated. My last car the cv joint and driveshaft came as one, for some reason (half asleep?) I thought it'd be the same – anyway, sounds less expensive!
