hi all,
just recently after having my car mapped was coming home last night and just left a set of traffic lights when i heard a bang and no traction, i immediatley stopped to car in a bus top and looked for damage, obviously checking both driveshafts connections at the wheels, both where connected to the wheel fine, so i popped up the bonnet and looked at the driveshaft connections at the gearbox and saw a little bit of oil on the protector tray on the bottom, my drivers side driveshaft is knackered:cry:. i was told by the recovery man that it will most probably be just that driveshaft needs replacing, but to be on the safe side get both done, i am hoping that the gearbox is fine. how much will these driveshafts be, but i found this, will this fit, a golf 00-05 driveshaft? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-GOLF-BORA-...oryZ9889QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem
anh help guys and where i can get cheap driveshafts from

driveshaft would be very unusual for your car, even remappe.
inner CV or outer CV most likely. ~£50 parts plus fitting as a guide

you need to remove it to see properly.
The CV is circlip'd into the shaft.
once off all will become obvious.

i thought i had the money, be on the safe side buy the whole lot, which i did. where the driveshaft goes into the inner cv joint, all i can see through the wheel arch when taking the wheel off is oil, but i saw broken parts of the old cv, but i couldnt see the end of the driveshaft, i not taking the risk the risk of just buying a new cv and the say the driveshaft is gone aswell, i wanted to be safe, plus i didnt really lose any, had quite a bit of money sitting in my paypal lol
