Drivers side window/ switch issue

Hi all, had a search and found a few couple of old threads but wondered if anyone has had a similar problem recently.

My drivers side window switch no longer operates any of the windows on my 5 door 6J (It lights up and all other electrics in the door are fine)
The other 3 windows all work ok on their own switch.

Holding the key open/closed doesn’t do anything but I don’t have comfort windows so that may be normal.

After a week I randomly noticed the window lock button was illuminated, turned that off and it all worked until I used the car again.

I’ve tried a new switch and it makes no difference, From what I can see the wires by the door hinge look intact.

Can a failed motor stop the whole switch pack from working or is it more likely a wiring issue in the door somewhere?

If motor, can that be changed without removing the whole regulator?

Thanks
