I've recently changed the battery (see THIS thread), and everything is back to normal (more or less) on my wife's 2015 Leon TSI (I believe it's a 1.2).
Unsure whether this is related to the new battery - or possibly this problem has been happening for a while, and was the reason the battery gave up - but we've got a problem with the central locking off the fob. Symptoms are:
When locking from the fob, all the doors lock except the driver's door. And the courtesy light doesn't go out.
The central locking makes a satisfying "clunk", and then follows up with a new extra click that I've not previously noticed.
I can see on the dash that the car doesn't think any doors are still open.
We've checked both rear doors, front passenger, boot, and fuel filler are all locked - it's just the driver's door that isn't locked.
I've popped the cap off the driver's door handle and I can manually lock the front door - and when I do that, then all the doors lock and the courtesy light goes out. But once done, the driver's door won't unlock on the fob. All the other doors unlock, but driver's door stays locked.
I've opened/closed (slammed!) all doors and boot - definitely nothing is nearly-but-not-quite closed.
So we have to manually unlock (which also releases the fuel filler flap) and then we unlock on the remote to be 100% sure that the alarm won't go off when we open the driver's door
And then to lock we have to arm the alarm on from the fob, and then manually lock the door using the key.
I've also noticed that while driving this evening (after replacing the battery, and checking it was ok), the doors keep trying to lock. Before this problem, the doors would lock as soon as we drive away and hit a certain speed (10mph, or something like that). But now each time I stop and then pull away from lights or a junction or whatever then the doors sound like they're locking (or trying to lock) again - there's a "double lock" sound as in: sounds like it tries to lock twice. If I press the door lock button while inside the car, it makes the double lock noise, like it's trying to lock twice.
No idea how long it's been doing this - might be new, but might have been happening for a while (it's wife's car and she may not have noticed). Likewise with the courtesy light - don't know how long the light has been staying on, but maybe that's what finished off the battery... For now I've turned it off completely to avoid draining the battery until we figure out what's up.
So. Any ideas here? Dodgy central locking actuator, maybe?
