I have a Seat Leon Mk11 Pre Face Lift 2006 TFSI which has started with a fault. I suspect it is something that I will need to get professional help, but wanted to check if there was something obvious it could be or that I could check.
My issue started with the Car Alarm, suddenly going off. When I switched it off, I pressed the remote to close the doors and then checked it was locked. The drivers door was open but the others were locked.
I can lock/unlock the drivers door with the key, and use the remote to lock/unlock the others, I have also noticed that I can not operate any windows from the 4 lever console, which is on the drivers door. However the lever on the other doors, will open that window.
It seems then that there is no current getting to the drivers door, I don't have any special testing equipment to check there is current, but wondered if the symptoms suggested anything to people with more experience with cars. Again this is another observation, after a couple of days, it worked OK for one day, then the alarm went off again and it has not worked again now for over a week. Would that suggest faulty/damaged wiring?
