Drivers Airbag/Steering wheel

I have a replacement original leather steering wheel to fit to my Leon.
Can someone give me some pointers/advice on removing the Airbag safely and the steering wheel?
Any advice would be very much appreciated!!

Im looking for the same info.. Some chaps say there is a clip at the back of wheel, turn the wheel 90 degrees and insert a flat screw driver in the hole wiggle it till you release a clip.

I tried doing that for an hour and had no luck. Could do with some diagrams on what the damn clip looks like.
