I'm Going to santa pod on oct 13th - 14th for a mates stag do.
We're all entering our cars for the rwyb drag event [B)].
Now i've never done anything like this before and imagine it takes a lot of skill to get of the line well. I've noticed some peeps on here are experienced in this field and i'm basically after some advise. The cars i'm up against are a VR6 mk3 Golf, a Corrado g60, Mondeo 2.0l  and unfortunately an S4 audi :(

I'm not for one minute thinking i'll get close to the S4 but would like to think i could put in a respectable time in my little old LC and hopefully beat some others.

Also i've got just under a month to add a few little mods to help my cause. was thinking dog bone mount etc. So any suggestions would be helpfull.

SB.

Dog bone mount is a must for this
good tyres also
Got some practice somewhere like a deserted road to try out your starts
The starts are up to your own personel preference but not too much revs as you will smoke the tyres and loose time
I would try some steady ones first then see how you get on from there

Luckily i've just fitted 4 brand new GSD3's all round so this should help.
Was wondering if it was worth letting a bit of pressure out of them
Thought it might help them bite a bit more.
I was also wondering about taking the spare wheel out but wasn't really sure if would make a difference at all.

I've not done a RWYB for ages! Anyway, some free mods... Make sure your car is as light as possible, get rid of every bit of junk etc, take out your spare wheel and subs if you've got them and leave them somewhere safe (when you're there obviously). Deflate the front tyres to about 20psi for increased traction and inflate the rears to about 35-40psi to decrease rolling resistance. Just make sure you have a mini compressor or at least a foot pump handy to inflate them back to what they should be when you finish. Make sure all your fluids are present and correct for obvious reasons.

I'm in the process of smothing out a spare air box so this should add an extra 200 bhp
