DPF reset with VCDS?

Hi
I’ve cleaned my DOF (2014 FR184 CUPA) and can’t clear the P2463 code or reset the DPF ash value with a Snap-On Zeus. There are no other fault codes stored or pending.
Thinking about getting a VCDS hex-V2, does anyone know if this will definitely clear the code and allow reset of the DPF please?
Are any access codes needed?
Anything else I need to know to clear the code and reset the dpf?
