Hi,

I have a leon fr TDI 170
From time to time i get the engine light on and then around 50miles later i get the DPF light.

Checked out the engine light and its the exhaust gas pressure, Seat tested the part and they say the part is fine.

Is it possible that the DPF is causing the engine light to come on due to difference in exhaust pressure?

Is it possible that the sensor reading the DPF has gone faulty and is not detecting when its at high load, which then causes an exhaust pressure fault?

Thanks

# Vehicle Speed between 30-60 km/h (18-37 MPH)
# Engine Speed between 1500-2500 RPM (4th or 5th Gear, Automatic Transmission in Tiptronic)
# Duration approx. 15-20 Minutes

and yes i do this everyday to work and back as per the owners guide.....

Turned out to be a faulty Exhaust gas pressure sensor fault.
Seat then replaced this and all is great now.

Had to take mine in today as the dreaded emissions 'engine' light kept coming on as well and then would reset for the next journey. I knew something was wrong as the DPF seemed to be regenerating too often when as i use it mainly on M and A roads it shouldn't need to.

Turned out to be a exhaust gas pressure sensor as well which they need to order so will be back next week for it to be fitted.

Hopefully this will cure it.

Hmm not sure how easy it would be to do under 37mph in 4th or 5th at anything close to 2500 rpm!!

ross-tech state that you have all your power consumables on then do regen at 2200 rpm in 4th gear, i have done this plenty of times my self on my car and if you keep an eye on measuring blocks 075.4 the exhaust temp exceeds 800 degrees.
