Just a quick post to say that i bought a downpipe and sports cat from piperRS for my LCR off the forum and its awesome. Its realy good quality, fits well and sounds sweet would highly recommend it. A little tricky to fit because off the sub frame and pas rack but once you lower that it makes it all well worth it.

Yea it does seem to pull better and feels alot more responsive on the throttle it is also alot more free to accelerate.

I have the full system on mine. The difference in throttle response is massive as there is no back pressure on the turbo so it spins up much faster.

wonder if you guys know? to fit something like that or a cupra r exhaust, would you need a cupra r back bumper or does it fit the pre facelift back bumper...

Dom-G60 - Please you like the exhaust mate. Thanks for the positive feedback.

1835harri - If you have a cut out in the right place then you should be fine. Send me a pic of the back of your car and i should be able to tell from that.

Hope this helps

Kind Regards

I concur with everything above. The exahust is perfect. Lovely sound, no noise at crusing speed and really helps the turbo spool up more quicky - which is very noticable even in every day driving. But once you floor it the car explodes forwards with more more energy than before. Loving it.

all this positive talk of the piper system almost makes me want to keep my LCR and not get a diesel.................... the jbs05 k04 hybrid doesn't help much either! :(

if i could i would but i'm after a bora 130pd highline. i'll mod that and still get decent fuel economy and cheap road tax.

On the subject of running costs I have seen a considerable decrease in fuel consumption since fitting the exhaust. Not so much with the motoway driving but more stop/start town driving. Before I was lucky to get over 30mpg with 'normal' dirving. Now I regularly exceed 30 without even trying and on my way to work I get 35mpg - and before I got 32-33 with being more careful with the right foot.

So all in all - more power earlier on, quicker turbo spooling, great noise, quiet at cruising speed and noticable increase in MPG :)

Definately one of the best modifications I have done so far, if not the most expensive...
