Doors won't lock/unlock!!!

Just walked up to my Leon and pressed the button on the key to unlock and nothing happened! I ended up having to put my key in the door (old school) to get in. Also, the Mrs had to climb over the drivers seat to get in!

Funny thing is that the remote locking still unlocks/locks the boot and turns the alarm on/off, but not the doors. I can hear a solonoid clicking so it sounds like the key is not at fault. Also the unlock/lock button near the electric window controls fails to do anything.

Perhaps a fuse has gone? By the way - it's been raining a fair bit today and i did have some water under the door so wonder if that's something to do with it?

Any ideas/help on what might be at fault would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.

Had the same problem myself had to get a new key fob and re-programmed cost around £70 at Seat.

I thought my key was OK as it still turns the alarm on/off and unlocks/locks the boot still. Did your key behave the same when you had the problem Asil?

Hi JPM Yes it did everything you described, when you locked it manually you still heard the central locking make a noise, alarm activate etc. had key changd and e-programmed all is now fine (fingers crossed)
