Door question

Does anyone know ehere the switch is located to notify you that your door isnt closed proply or is open, becasue i can have my boot and both doors open and it doesnt go off.

The door ones will be micro-switches built into the locks - might be same with the boot lid. I'd think that if both door and boot are showing "open" then there is another fault - did this happen gradually ie door first then boot, are all at the same time? Maybe you need the car scanned with VAG-COM as I'd think that these switch "statuses" could be checked.

the two doors or the boot doesnt set the 'door open' sign on the dash off, even if opend individually or at the same time its as if sensors been disconnected completely. where could i get my car scanned with the VAG-COM? cheers
