Door mirrors

Taking wing mirrors off tmorrow or monday to paint them, just poped the cover off and can see 1 spine or torx bolt cant tell in the dark and the wire, does the doorcard have to come off to unplug them? If so do i need to seal it back up as i dont want a built in footspa.

Yes door card as to come off, the door card is just a cover.
The panel underneath doesn't get touched

Not really done many doorcard jobs, know how to do them etc, done a window on an a4 before today and was quite fiddly. Thing im asking is, people say about seal behind the doorcards but if it needs it, rather do it and save the damp carpets.
