.....You spend 3 hours on Saturday washing, chamios'ing & polishing your car to perfection, then for it to pi$$ down when you need to do a 20 mile motorway journey with enough surface spray, big massive dirty lorries and puddles to totally wash away your efforts

Oh well - she'll have to wait another 3 months now

Did you see "Fifth Gear" last night?

I dont normally watch it... but some bloke on there was charging FIVE GRAND for a car wash!

He was showing how he did it on one of the Maserati's (MC12?) using laser depth guages and stuff to see how much paint to take away down to the good stuff.

So im sure you would have been MORE pissed if you had just paid 5k to have your motor cleaned rather than doing it yourself

erm.... weekend before last....

She was washed, then rinsed, the washed again to get all the bits I had missed, the detail cleaned, then waxed.

Then the interior was vacummed and extraction cleaned!

She is booked in for a valet soon and the last time the valeter made some comments about being a typical womans car.

We can't be having that again.


You wouldn't know it now tho... yesterday was spent with kids in the back and now the back seat is an orgy of crisps and sticky fingers.

The blokes at tesco wash my car. They can't speak a word of English and there car washing skills are average at best, but it does for the cold\wet months of the year.

During the summer, I actually quite enjoy washing my car?
