my friend has a cupra with an ihi turbo conversion and needs a new actuator just wondering what an ihi turbo is or if that just means a hybrid conversion has been done on a standard K03 turbo thanks

ihi are found on many cars. you will need to find out what ihi it is. i have a vf23 which is an ihi and a vf28, so without knowing its a bit of a guess. both these turbos were off scoobies

what makes you think it needs a new actuator? does it not open at all when pressuring? (ie diaphragm leak)

to be honest i dont know why he just asked me to get him a price for one. i think he is changing over some of the older parts and uprating some. i was hoping forge could have told me what kind of actuator he needs but nobody can give me a definate answer if they are turbo specific or car specific

if its an ihi then you need to find out what turbo it is. will say on the turbo. if he is running a standard turbo then i will have a chat and see if i can get you a price as my mate has contacts in scooby world

Sounds like it could be either Dickos or Shantys old one. The actuator is turbo specific not car specific. I have an IHI vf34 actuator spare if you need one. If it was a jabba conversion it should say in the paperwork what turbo it was or what stage and jabba should be able to tell you what turbo was fitted.
