Yeah they didnt seem convinced when i told them it was the MAF and knew that i would be getting it free but surely they cant not give it to me as im entitled to it because of the Warranty?

I dont know what to say to them when i call them to cancel Saturday so that i can confirm its the MAF and they cant argue its not?

I want to fight my corner but im SO tired of being taken for an idiot

I'm confused, I thought when you ran some vag-com logs your MAF was seeing 130g/s?
Now mine IS f***ed at 70 g/s :D

Yeah it was seeing 137g/s but that was about three or four months ago

The log i did the other day was not valid as i couldnt pull past 4500RPM

I went to SEAT this morning, had to get up at 7.00am and left at 7.25am to get there for 8.00am

I walked in about 8.05am and the bloke working today said 'I just called you to say not to come in as we fitted your MAF on Tuesday' :wtf:

Now these bloke know i live 40 minutes away and didnt think to double check on Friday when i called about the MAF and let me know that? How hard is it? The bloke on the phone was even talking to this guy because i wanted him to make sure he wouldnt question it when i went in today and i was told 'Yeah he knows about it'

So i had gone all the way there and it had already been done, plus i have been driving around with it unplugged since Friday which isnt really good for the car :censored:

To make it worse i had put a 'tiny' mark on it to make sure i could prove they had replaced it, so now i have that on the new MAF

I then asked him to get them to plug it back in and clear the fault codes and he said that was fine! They did this and road tested it etc

Gave me the keys back and told me there was this fault code up now

Ignition Activation on Cylinder Four, Open Circuit

I said i would leave it as i was SO angry and see how it went but as i pulled out of the garage the Engine Management Light came on so i went back in and said 'Ok so my seeing how it went didnt last long'

He said they wouldnt be able to look at it now as the Master Technician was now doig something else but if i wanted to wait he could and it would cost me £73+ VAT and he kept going on about how good this Technician is and thats why he wanted to look at my turbo and turbo seals to do the next step of the process of elimiation

I got home and decided to call the RAC Technical Support Line (i had been told i could do this if a fault came up on my car and someone could help me over the phone or if my Engine Management Light came on)

He said it sounds like its related to my coilpack but could well have gone to the ECU but obviously cant say that without seeing it! I am now going to have it put on VAG COM and get the ECU reset to see how that works

So im not really sorted at all and i dont know what to do
