Dog Bone Mount

Apologies for what might seem a stupid question bu what does a dog bone mount actually do, and what will changing it do to the handling of my car.

Just read a few posts about upgrading it and wanted a bit more info.

im not sure it will do anything to the handling.

as far as im aware it basiaclly an unrated engine mount, possibly with less movement and so may improve response a bit.

sure ill be corrected if wrong!

If you upgrade the bushes in your dogbone mount it Will reduce wheel hop as you pull away, the car seems more responsive to throttle and some have said braking is improved. This is at the cost of slightly harsher vibration into cabin but most seem to think its worth it! bushes cost around £15 and more for a complet replacement item, if you can get under your car you can change the bushes easily, do a search there has been a fair bit discussed in past! Did mine on last LCR and got bushes to do this one!
