does this mean its misfiring?

driving car today and suddenly went into limp mode and struggled like no tomorrow! sounds like a tank i presume its misfiring this is vag com read out

seems to be on cylinder 4 is that just a case that the spark plug not working?

sounds like a coil pack gone! you'll need to move your charge pipe out the way to get to 4, unplug the coil pack and pull upwards on it and it should eventually "pop out"

i know nothing about engines, would the coil pack be on the other end of the leads to the spark plugs?

they look like 4 bits of squarish black plastic on top of your engine with wires coming from the back of them!

well, just to check its only the 4th, id start the car up and pull each one off, if it makes it run rougher then that one is ok, and so on, the 4th one is the one on the far right, you have to take the charge pipe (aluminium pipe) that restricts you from changing it.

isnt the far right the one closest to passenger side? or are you looking at it from inside the car

having an AM intercooler might mean you dont have to take your charge pipe off to do it, see if your can get in there
