Does a K&N panel filter make any difference??

Have any of you fitted a K&N panel filter to your FR TSFI's? Or another make for that matter.

Did you notice any change?

I fitted one to my old 172cup and the misses MX-5 and it smoothed out the engine noticibly, bit more sound and maybe a bit faster.... definitely worth it.

Don't really want to go the full induction kit yet but also dont want to waste £50.

What do you reckon?

got one fitted to my FR Tdi, not much diff except throttle response is a tad better, no extra noise. When you see the K&N next to the standard filter there is a vast difference the OEM is like a brick.

I had one for my TFSI, before I got the induction kit.

Not sure if It made any difference, but im never one to tell!

Got the pipercross one, which I prefer as it is oil free.

£33 plus delivery from here mate: http://www.potn.co.uk/-_c5206_2165_2204_2238_p1502707.htm

I sold mine in the end, so no great loss!

Dan,

Whats the sound like with the induction kit and exhaust (I think I remember you saying you have a Milltek, resonated)? Is it too boomy cruising at M Way, loud on load?

Mitra, any idea what the code is for your Induction kit, i can see one listed for the new Leon FR

it isn`t listed for the new leon. but if you search for the 2004 altea or golf 140 HP you will find. It fits all 2.0 tdi`s. Code is: 57-0618

Cheers.

Wow, some nice mods. How much difference does the short shifter make can you feel it in everyday driving?
