dodgy temp gauge!

Hi there, wondering if anyone can help me out, Ive got a standard 1.4 Ibiza and the Temp gauge somtime's works and other times dosnt move from the lowest point at all. any one got any clues??

I'd try using a VAG COM lead if you know anyone with the kit, but I would say it's likely to be the coolant temperature sensor.

it deffonatly souns like the sensor to me

if you look on the seconed page on thta link it shows you were the sensor is on the 1.4
